The leaders at helping MEDITECH hospitals leverage the value of their Data Repository.

Our Story

During his thirteen year tenure at MEDITECH, Glen D'Abate directed a team that developed the Data Repository (DR) application. Remarkably, the DR was initially conceived and designed as a custom solution for a single client hospital.  However, as the news of the DR’s reporting and analytics capabilities spread and demand increased, Glen’s team transformed the DR into a standard application module available to all MEDITECH hospitals, and sales rapidly ensued.  In the summer of 1998, to address a notable void in support services around the DR’s Microsoft relational database environment, Glen amicably departed MEDITECH and launched Acmeware. Acmeware’s mission was to provide report development and related support services that complemented MEDITECH services when a hospital implemented a Data Repository.

Early in its history, Acmeware developed the DrAuditor application to assist DR clients in validating data thus encouraging the use of the DR for reporting and data analytics. Ultimately, DrAuditor was spun off to Blue Elm Co. in 2001. From 2002 to 2012, Acmeware focused exclusively on providing professional services helping hospital clients to develop reports, perform data analysis, and provide operational support services for all aspects of the MEDITECH Data Repository application.

In 2012, Acmeware launched OneView, a web-based application for the organization, analysis, presentation, consumption, and distribution of healthcare information, primarily derived from a MEDITECH DR.  Initially tasked  as an EHR Meaningful Use reporting application (and certified by the ONC-ACB for both the 2011 and 2014 Editions of EHR Meaningful Use), OneView has expanded to include additional custom reporting packages.  These include a corporate-wide EHR Meaningful Use reporting package for IDNs and a financial reporting package providing reports and analytical processing (OLAP) of a hospital’s financial performance. OneView’s potential for incorporating additional custom and standard packages continues to grow as we leverage the report and analytical content developed by Acmeware with our partner clients since 1998.

Acmeware currently operates throughout the United States and Canada, employs 30 full time employees, and works closely with MEDITECH as well as over 50 long-term partnership hospitals.

Testimonials

Our awesome clients love us
Without Acmeware and their OneView product, it would have been difficult to demonstrate Meaningful Use. Your support staff was unbeatable during implementation and validation. The high-touch commitment kept the project on track without becoming overwhelming.
-Sandra Cox, Permian Regional

The Partnership Program offered by Acmeware is invaluable to me and my team. Very few vendors I call partners and everyone from their Consultant Analysts to their head boss I know understands my infrastructure and where I need the help. They are absolutely a great addition to my team. As for their work, not only do they build custom reports without having to re-invent the wheel, they ensure there is knowledge transfer to my staff so they can be more productive. I cannot tell you how often we rely on their ability to find where the data is hidden in MEDITECH's Data Repository. Over the years, I have found Acmeware has become for Anderson a nimble group of experts that give me and my staff the peace of mind. They have our back.

-Mike Ward, Anderson Hospital

Acmeware provided exactly what we needed for Meaningful Use reporting, validation and attestation. They understand where the data comes from and have an expert knowledge of the MEDITECH DR. The staff is accommodating, easy to work with and well informed. Our attestations went very smoothly. Without the internal SQL resources, it would have been much more difficult if it wasn‘t for Acmeware. The OneView application is intuitive and was easy to learn for our reporting group

-Liz Dunlevy, Trinity Health

Acmeware provided us with the knowledge and insights to Meditech’s Data Repository and Microsoft’s SRSS to meet our organization’s growing reporting demands. Acmeware’s onsite training model of utilizing our own data and Acmeware’s continued support have enabled us to create effective reports and maintain/manage our MEDITECH Data Repository environment. Acmeware has made a difference in the management of our organization.
